Max Kelm, born in 1995 in Essen, discovered his love for music at 9 years old when he found an old piano in his parents' basement. After four years of classical lessons, he began teaching himself, writing his first composition at 13.
Max was inspired by orchestral sounds from films and video games, which led him to study composition. He graduated from Musicube Academy as a Basic Filmmusic Composer and studied Composition for Film and Theater at ArtEZ Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten.
Max combines improvisation with written scores and mixes analog and digital sounds. He gained experience working with creatives from film, dance, and theater.
