Founded in 1979, the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra soon became one of the most successful European orchestras. 

Its musical profile shows a rare fusion of Ukrainian sensual musicality and Western analytical attitude to the text. This synthesis was born from the collaboration of the Kyivan orchestra with the Italian conductor Luigi Gaggero who leads the orchestra as a Chief Conductor.

Since the end of April 2022, the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra has performed at the Berliner Philharmoniker, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Philharmonie de Paris etc. Furthermore, on July 29th,the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra performed in front of NATO leaders at the Madrid summit.
