BIO

Claire Augier de Lajallet is a curious artist who enjoys taking on new challenges. She is passionate about projects that blend music with other forms of art and collaborates closely with composers to infuse fresh inspiration into her harp playing.

Her fascination with the harp began at the age of four when she first heard it on a children's music CD. Claire is drawn to music because of its ability to evoke strong emotions and create social connections. The versatility of the harp, spanning from gentle melodies to percussive and melodic variations, continues to captivate her.

Born in Chartres, France, Claire Augier de Lajallet initially started her harp journey with Nathalie Weber at the Conservatoire de Chartres. She later gained valuable experiences by studying under renowned harpists in France, including Catherine de Preissac, Aurélie Saraf, Florence Bourdon, and Marie-Pierre Langlamet. She also honed her skills in Canada with mentors like Heidi Krutzen, Elizabeth Volpé-Blight, and Caroline Lizotte.

In 2015, Claire was a finalist in the "Suoni D'Arpa" competition in Saluzzo, Italy. From 2018 to 2021, she was a fellow at Live Music Now München e.V., where she conducted numerous solo concerts, bringing the gift of music to audiences who typically lack access to live performances.

Claire has accumulated orchestral experience, contributing her talents to various orchestras, including the Prague Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Nürnberger Staatsphilharmonie, the Münchner Philharmoniker, the Rheinland-Pfalz Philharmonie, the Philharmonische Orchester Würzburg, the Jenaer Philharmoniker, the Nürnberger Symphoniker, and the Münchner Symphoniker.
