BIO

Nanami Chiba, a soprano from Japan, completed her master's degree in music theater at the University of Music Nuremberg under the guidance of Prof. Brigitte Geller with top grades.

In 2018, she made her debut as Despina in Mozart's "Cosi fan tutte" in Tokyo and received much acclaim. Nanami Chiba performed in 2022 at the Gluck Festspiele in Nuremberg as Sivene in the opera "Le cinesi." In the same year, she was a solo soprano at the Frauenkirche in Nuremberg during the 71st Musikfest ION. Her main focus is on classical singing, and she also has experience in musical and pop singing.

"When I came to Vienna about four years ago, I was fortunate to experience an open-air event at the Vienna State Opera. During a piece, I could especially feel the joy in the eyes of a man who stood just a few rows in front of me. His enthusiasm and dedication to the music touched me deeply. It is my great dream to evoke similar feelings in my audience."
